This appeared to be a “gritty” indie film with a hipsters-vs.-Latinos scene here; one character yelled “Gentrification, bitch!” before the scuffle commenced. It was hard to take a sneaky photo without laughing. This is outside of 5 Pointz, an artists’ studio building in Long Island City that resembles the bygone NYC of location scouts’ fantasies. It has plenty of signs saying NO FILMING OR PHOTO SHOOTS WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM BUILDING MANAGEMENT.)
